1996 f14 searayder jet boat won't start.

I have concerns abou the integrity of our jet boat mechanic. The guy I have now said to replace the battery and it should solve the no starting problem. New battery still no start. He is now talking about the stator and said it will cost $600.00 plus instal to do it. He has not checked the stator as yet and I wonder is there is a series of diagnostic steps that should be used to determine if the problem could be something minor(spark plugs Or fuel lines). Where could I look to find a jet boat mechanic in Canada or is there a sea ray jet boat fgorum that you could direct me to. Thanks Larry Thornhill Ontario larrystanley@rogers.com |
