1992 O/B OMC remote control jammed: Replace control & cables?

1992 O/B OMC remote control jammed
I have a 1992 Fourwinns Sundowner 195 with an Evinrude 150. The new issue is that the remote throttle control is becoming very hard, and was even blocked at full speed recently. I would like to know if I need to replace the control itself, or both the control and the 2 cables? (they are from 1992). The model currently on the boat is the 1992 OMC P/N 0175071 "REMOTE CONTROL, Concealed side mount". I think of ordering the Teleflex Osprey Series Side Mount Controls CH1751P with trim. I would be very interested to have your advice on these points. Thanks a lot, Best regards Fred |
