1986 Evinrude 40 HP outboard motor tilt aid cylinder assembly repair

The cylinder leaked all the hydraulic fluid due to bad seals and I want to know how much fluid does it take to fill it once I replace the seals. The part number is 0172908 Cylinder assembly for a 1986 Evinrude 40 HP outboard motor. Is it gas assisted? Can this part be repaired and is this something I can do myself? |
