I have a 1985 Evinrude 60hp. The motor appears to have been set up for oil injection in the beginning, but it was all removed prior to me owning it. We have always mixed our own oil/gas. I have had the boat an motor for 12 years and other than replacing some gaskets I never had an issue until this year. The motor starts fine, idles fine, but when you get up to full speed wants to die and you have to idle back quickly to keep the motor running. I have cleaned the carbs, changed all the gas lines in the motor, put in a new fuel pump, and put a new gas line from the tank to the motor. I have even tried a new coil, still to have the same result. I am ready to pull my hair out. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
