1984 20 foot sport-craft, walk through windshield, with a v6 3.8 engine

I bought this boat, really nice boat. The people told me it needed a starter. They cleaned the one on it, and it cranks and run good. When I got home with it, later thought I would tinker with it, relizing the key switch was gone. The wires are hanging from down under the dash. I see the red wire, and the old key switch is laying in the floor under dash, on the back of it, has three promes that screws hold the wires onto it. It has one post on back of switch has a b by it, thinking that is battery, the red wire should go to it. Then, another post, has an s by it, not sure what that is, then another post with an I by it, thinking that is ign. Can you give me some pointer as to how to over come this problem?
