1982 glastron galaxy v8 swap

i just got a 1982 glastron galaxy with no motor in it. i was wondering if i can fit a chevy 350 v8 in it? also is this motor too much power for the boat? i would really like to have a v8 in this boat if at all possible. i have all of the bolt ons for a small block v8 so if the 350 is too big maybe a 305? thanks for all of your help.
